ERMAHGERD
After two hours of just trying to get the ears right I am finally done THIS BAD BOY!
Its the first hat I’ve made with some what realistic ears.
I went bat shit crazy working on this thing, I even broke one of my crochet hooks in half trying to make those ears.
By the time I finished I was about ready to tear my hair out and throw this thing at the wall.
Oh well, Halloween costume here I come.
This is a raccoon themed hat I made for a friend of mine in exchange for a corn snake. XP
It’s really fuzzy and soft made with just Red Hart brand yarn I got from Zellerz.
I really don’t want to let it go… so warm. Q_Q
I found some rainbow yarn for real cheap at Zellars the other day. What drew me to this yarn is how the colours are so bright. A lot of the time when I found rainbow yarn the colours were either muted or just didn’t look right with each other. It was like they only used very…”primary” shades of the colours that reminded me of kindergarten and school.
These are some hats that I have made over the years.
My favorite on is the red and purple hat with the space invaders on it. I hate how tedious it is to make a picture in the hat but in the end it’s worth it. : )

There is also a black beanie style hat with Rose’s symbol on it but it is currently in the possession of my sister.
A hat that I finished crocheting a few days ago.
I’m not sure what animal it’s suppose to be. It started out as a cat but I made it way to big so the way I do cat ears made the ears turn out really large and low on the hat to the point where it was just ridiculous looking. I fixed that somewhat by gathering up the ears and tying string around them to make these pointy little ears on it now.
Doing that also brought the front further up on my head than usual so it fits more like a hood than a cap which I found I actually really liked. So all in all a hat that a botched horridly is not somewhat presentable.
The yarn is a mix of a bunch of different ones because I took another project that didn’t turn out apart to use to make this one.
